KATHMANDU, March 30: The parliamentary committee has asked the government to investigate the incidents that occurred during the pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune and prosecute those responsible.
In its meeting at Singha Durbar on Sunday, the Education, Health, and Information Technology Committee concluded that a thorough investigation is essential, as the protest veered out of control and led to loss of life and damage to private property.

Committee Chairperson Amar Bahadur Thapa stressed the importance of implementing strict security measures to prevent similar catastrophes from unleashing again. He instructed the government to stay prepared and ensure effective law enforcement.
The committee also directed the Government of Nepal to provide proper medical treatment for all those injured during the incident.
