KATHMANDU, Oct 20: Non-Resident Ambassador of Nepal to the Kingdom of Norway, Prof Dr Ram Swarth Ray, presented his letters of credence to the King Harald V of Norway amidst a special ceremony held at the Royal Palace, Oslo.
According to a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal in Denmark, Ambassador Ray held a tete-a-tete with the Norwegian King after submitting the credentials. During the meeting, 0King congratulated Ambassador Ray on his appointment as Ambassador and wished him a successful tenure.

Ambassador Ray conveyed to the Norwegian King the warm greetings and best wishes from the Nepali President, Ram Chandra Paudel, and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal for his personal health and happiness as well as for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Norway.
Similarly, Ambassador Ray briefed King Harald V on major political and economic developments in Nepal and thanked the Norwegian government for being one of the major bilateral development partners of Nepal.
Earlier, the Ambassador held meetings with Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Norway, Bjorg Sandkjaer; Deputy Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Aslak Brun; and Deputy Director General Mattis Raustol. Various matters of bilateral concerns featured during the discussions.
