KATHMANDU, June 26: Mr. Tara Prasad Pokharel presented his Letters of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to the Republic of Argentine to Mr Mauricio Macri, President of the Argentine Republic, amidst a special ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Buenos Aires on Monday.
Ambassador Pokharel is the residential Ambassador of Nepal to Brazil and is concurrently accredited as Ambassador to the Argentine Republic, the Embassy of Nepal in Brasilia, Brazil stated in a press release.
On the occasion, Ambassador Pokharel conveyed the greetings and best wishes from President Bidya Devi Bhandari and Prime Minister KP Oli to President Macri for his personal health happiness as well as for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of the people of Argentina.
Ambassador Kafle presents credentials to Argentine President
While receiving the Letters of Credence, President Macri welcomed Mr Pokharel as the Ambassador of Nepal to the Argentine Republic. At a brief courtesy meeting following the credentials presentation ceremony, Ambassador Pokharel stated that notwithstanding the distance, Argentina has been one of the top ten exporters to Nepal.
In view of the huge prospects for the development of cooperative relations between the two countries, he also highlighted the need for further promotion of collaboration between the two countries for mutual benefit.
President Macri on the occasion stated that Argentina is ready to further strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, and assured the Ambassador full cooperation in his efforts to promote partnership between the two countries.
The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Worship, the National Director of Protocol and the Director General of the Protocol of the Office of the President were also present at the ceremony as well as the meeting. RSS
