KATHMANDU, Oct 2: The Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD) has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall across various parts of the country today, driven by the combined effects of monsoon winds and local weather patterns.
Windstorm with rainfall likely today
According to the division, skies are likely to remain generally cloudy throughout the provinces this afternoon. Thunderstorms accompanied by moderate rain are expected in the hilly and terai regions of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as in parts of Madhesh Province. Light to moderate rainfall is also possible in other provinces. One or two places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may witness heavy rain, the MFD reported.
Weather conditions are expected to remain cloudy tonight as well. Moderate showers are likely in parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, while light to moderate rain may occur in other areas. The MFD has also cautioned of heavy rain at one or two locations in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
