Govt estimates to spend Rs 1.530 trillion in current FY, less by Rs 221 billion than announced budget

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has estimated to utilize only Rs 1.530 trillion of the budget compared to the announced expenditure for the current fiscal year. Finance Minister Barsha Man Pun said the revised estimation of recurrent expenditure stands at Rs 1.067 trillion, while those on capital expenditure and financial provision will be Rs 215.30 billion and Rs 247.55 billion, respectively.

Likewise, the government has projected to achieve mobilization of public revenue of Rs 1.253 trillion, grants of Rs 34.34 billion, foreign loans of Rs 145.44 billion and internal loans of Rs 240 billion by the end of the current FY 2023/24.
