KATHMANDU, April 28: Leaders of various parties and campaigns advocating for the restoration of the monarchy delivered a message of unity by holding a historic assembly at Kathmandu's Shanti Batika on Monday.
Kamal Thapa, Chairman of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Nepal, acknowledged the leadership of Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden and called for all pro-monarchy forces to unite.
At the assembly organized by RPP, RPP Nepal, the Joint People's Movement Committee (JPMC), and Rastriya Shakti Nepal, Kamal Thapa and Rajendra Lingden joined hands on the same stage, delivering a message of unity.
Agony rather than relief to loan shark victims

The program was attended by Keshar Bahadur Bista, Chairman of Rastriya Shakti Nepal; Nava Raj Subedi, Coordinator of the JPMC; RPP Vice Chairman Bikram Pandey; General Secretaries Dhawal Shamsher Rana and Kunti Shah; BP Congress General Secretary Devendra Paudel; and Vice President of Shiv Sena Ganga Chaudhary.
The protesters chanted slogans demanding the immediate release of prisoners of conscience and opposed laws that restrict criticism of secularism and the republic.
On the stage, Thapa, Lingden, Subedi, and Bista raised their hands together in a show of solidarity, energizing the supporters.
Thapa emphasized the need to unite all pro-monarchy forces under Lingden's leadership to elevate the monarchist movement to a new height. The assembly resolved to further organize and strengthen the campaign against republic and secularism.
