RAJBIRAJ, June 13: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) today morning caught a government employee red-handed taking a bribe of Rs 100,000.

A CIAA Saptari team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Shyam Sarukh Magar arrested Bikash Shrestha, engineer for Rupani rural municipality, Saptari. Shrestha received Rs 100,000 in bribe from his client for assisting a bill payment following the construction of a suspension bridge, said Mahesh Acharya, chief of CIAA Saptari branch office.
