KATHMANDU, Oct 16: The price of gold has set a new record in the domestic market on Wednesday.
According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers' Associations, the price of gold has surged to Rs 161,800 per tola, marking an increase of Rs 1,300 per tola. This is the highest price of gold recorded so far which has surpassed the previous record set on October 4, trading at Rs 161,300 per tola.

On the previous day, gold was traded at Rs 160,500 per tola.
Meanwhile, silver price has increased by Rs 25 per tola. Silver is being traded at Rs 1950, up from Rs 1,925 the previous day.
