Vote counting begins in Sudan Gurung’s constituency

According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, vote counting began at 12:30 PM on Saturday.

GORKHA, March 7: Vote counting for the House of Representatives (HoR) election under the first-past-the-post system has begun in Gorkha Constituency–1. Counting started only two days after voting was completed due to delays in collecting ballot boxes caused by geographical remoteness.



According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, vote counting began at 12:30 PM on Saturday.

Security arrangements with wire mesh fencing have been put in place for the counting process. A total of 12 candidates, including Rastriya Swatantra Party candidate Sudan Gurung and one independent candidate, are contesting in Gorkha–1.
