KATHMANDU, March 7: Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) candidate Gyan Bahadur (Gyanendra) Shahi has won in Jumla.
Shahi defeated Naresh Bhandari of the Nepali Communist Party by a margin of 3,081 votes. While Shahi got 14,816 votes, Bhandari stopped at 11,635 votes.
Anti-corruption crusader Gyanendra Shahi joins RPP
Nepali Congress candidate Deep Bahadur Shahi got 7,143 votes and UML candidate Shantilal Mahat stood fourth with 4,518 votes.
RSP candidate Binita Kathayat got only 421 votes. Kathayat was earlier a proportional member of parliament of the RSP.
