SUNSARI, Aug. 8: Police have arrested four people after recovering 22 bags of marijuana from a car and a motorcycle along the Barahkshetra-Chatara road in Barahkshetra Municipality-1, Sunsari.
Chandra Bahadur Khadka, information officer at the District Police Office, said that police found the marijuana stashed in the car and motorcycle traveling from Baraha toward Chatara.
Three arrested with large quantity of marijuana in Panauti
The car driver, 34-year-old Thaman Rai of Dharan Sub-Metropolitan City-13, and his passenger, 22-year-old Jeevani Rai of Manebhanjyang Rural Municipality-5, Okhaldhunga, were arrested.
Similarly, police arrested 26-year-old Amar Kamat of Kathari Rural Municipality-3, Morang, who was riding the motorcycle, and his passenger, 38-year-old Shankar Chaudhary, also of the same area.
The suspects are currently being held at the local police office in Mahendranagar for further investigation.
