RAUTAHAT, Nov 13: Rautahat police have arrested two men with a mini truck loaded with 186 kg of marijuana from BP Chowk of Gaur Municipality on Friday.
Three arrested with large quantity of marijuana in Panauti
According to the District Police Office, Rautahat, the mini truck (Na 8 Kha 5943) parked near Shiwangi Petrol Pump in Gaur Municipality Ward No. 4 was seized on the basis of a special tip off received by police. Upon checking the truck, police found 186 kilograms of marijuana packed in 12 packets with 15 kg each the rate of 15 kilograms each.
“The driver of the mini truck, Sikindra Gole, 25, of Makwanpur Thaha Municipality-12 and Riktam Tamang, 19, of the same ward were arrested along with the banned cannabis,” said Chief of Police and SP Binod Ghimire. According to the police, the two suspects have been remanded in custody and further investigation is currently underway.
