KATHMANDU, July 18: Revising its previous plan, the Election Commission (EC) is updating the voter roll from all rural municipalities and municipalities across the country. An EC board meeting has also planned to resume "Out of District Registration".

Under the ODR provision, voters living outside their home districts can register themselves at the local government office near their temporary residence. Until Tuesday, the election body was registering eligible voters only from the Election Offices in the 75 districts.

Voter registration in rural municipalities and municipalities will start from July 31 and end on August 16, the commission said.
