DOTI, Aug 10: A model agricultural village is to be built each in nine local levels of Doti, the district in Far-West State. According to Agricultural Knowledge Center Contact Office Siligadhi chief Kishan Singh Thapa, establishments of model agricultural farm, vegetables, and fruits greenhouse and a nursery house along with several resources centers were planned under the scheme.

It would be carried out in partnership with cooperatives and private sector, he said, adding that the promotion of off seasonal crops and agricultural tourism will be focused under the program.
The program consists of several activities such as grant assistance to farmers and agricultural entrepreneurs, seeds production, subsidy in organic fertilizer, expansion of food and potato production pocket areas, ginger production and the establishment of processing center for the product, technology expansion, irrigation, mechanization, conservation of biological diversities and commercialization of agricultural farms among others.
