PAC has also asked the government to develop pricing techniques for determining the price of any goods or services and to regularly assess them.

PAC Chairman Rishikesh Pokharel said that the committee has instructed the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation to provide information on whether the cement industry is currently facing load shedding or not.

During the meeting, Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Damodar Bhandari said that cement production has been affected due to the unannounced load shedding, which may have led to price hike. He assured to solve this problem by coordinating with cement producers and construction entrepreneurs.
