After winning the toss at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval in Bangi, Malaysia, Australia batted first and scored 139 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Caoimhe Bray and Eleanor Larosa shared a partnership of 72 runs for the fourth wicket after losing 3 quick wickets while adding 14 runs. Caoimhe was caught out by Seemana KC off Riya Sharma for 45 runs.

Eleanor scored 31 runs. Hasrat Gill remained not out for 30 and Chloe Ainsworth for 16 runs. They shared 31 runs for the seventh wicket. The Nepali bowler gave 29 runs in the last 2 overs.
Captain Puja Mahato took 3 wickets for Nepal. Puja, who ducked Australia's captain Lucy Hamilton, guided Ines Mckeon to the pavilion for 8 runs and Kate Pelle for 3 runs. Puja spent 31 runs in her spell. Seemana KC took two wickets.
