KATHMANDU, Oct 3: Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is leaving for Tanzania on Sunday to attend the 153rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU).
Aryal is leading a seven-member parliamentary delegation to the event, which will bring together lawmakers and Speakers from 183 countries.

During the assembly, Speaker Aryal will inform lawmakers from around the world about the impacts of climate change in Nepal and the current structure of Nepal’s federal parliament, where more than 37 percent of lawmakers are under 40.
He will also voice Nepal’s call for climate justice, as stressed by Prime Minister Balendra Shah during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.
