FM Rana expresses grief over train accident in India

Minister Rana paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the accident and expressed her condolences to the families of the deceased. Additionally, she also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has expressed her sorrow over the train accident that occurred in Maharashtra, India, on Wednesday. Taking to social media, Rana mentioned that she was saddened by the death of Nepali and Indian citizens in the accident.


Minister Rana paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the accident and expressed her condolences to the families of the deceased. Additionally, she also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

This morning, Minister Rana made a phone call to the Ambassador of Nepal to India and the Indian Ambassador to Nepal, urging the Indian government and concerned authorities to act quickly in rescue operations and the treatment of the injured.


At least 12 Indian nationals, including four Nepalis, were killed in the train accident.
