BANEPA, June 15: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Prasad Baskota has said it should be demarcated if the media was industry or service sector based on the changed technology and investment.
At a programme organized by Minimum Wages Fixation Committee in Dhulikhel, Minister Baskota said that he would extend support for better and successful use of right to information in the media sector.

He also opined for revising the structure of the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee, adding the proportional advertisement system has not benefited the media of the small investment.
On the occasion, Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Govinda Acharya said that the Minimum Wages Fixation Committee should be given the right for media monitoring and actions, adding that the journalists should get their appointment letter while beginning their jobs.
Similarly, former chairman of Minimum Wages Fixation Committee Suresh Acharya said that translating policy into practice was a tough job while Minimum Wages Fixation Committee's Chairman Gangadhar Parajuli urged the media investors to pay minimum wages to scribes.
