Sagar Manandhar’s 14th solo art exhibition titled ‘Khet Ka Kuraharu’ (Stories of the Fields) was on display from Friday at the premises of Ageno: The Hestia, Lalitpur. Around 50 art works have been showcased in the exhibition. The display revolves around the theme of agriculture fields. It was inaugurated by Rukma S Rana, Managing Director of Dabur Nepal Pvt. Ltd. Guests including Ramesh Khanal, academic council member of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and K K Karmacharya, chancellor of NAFA were present in the inauguration program.

Manandhar is a renowned artist in Nepal. He has organized exhibitions in different themes for the past eight years. Admist an inauguration program Manandhar talked about his inspiration to initiate the exhibition. Hesaid, “I am a travel freak and I had noticed terraced fields wherever I have been to. So I decided to portray that in my art.”
All paintings in the exhibition are made by using acrylic on canvas. Upon entering the exhibition hall, attractive paintings of different sizes and colors hung on the walls mesmerize you. According to Manandhar, the colors used in his paintings shows the change in harvest in the field. “Generally, we go to the shop and but agricultural product. But we never applaud the farmer’s efforts. I have tried to evoke love for farmers amongst the visitors via my artworks,” said Manandhar.
The exhibition is slated to continue till Monday from 11am to 5pm.
