In a letter to EC on Tuesday, Yadav said the decision was taken by "some undisciplined leaders" against the party statute. [break]
A majority of MPRF-R central committee leaders on Sunday had informed EC regarding dismissal of Yadav as the acting chairman as per the decision of the central committee meeting on June 26. They had also chosen Nandan Kumar Dutta as new acting chairman of the party.
However, Yadav, who is also the communications minister, in his letter, argued that the central committee meeting is not authorized to pick acting chairman while another is serving the post.
Similarly, Yadav has argued that the dissident leaders did not even give him a chance to furnish clarification. "They won´t tell me what mistakes I committed," reads the letter.
Yadav has also claimed that Atmaram Sah has not been appointed as the party general secretary as the dissident leaders have claimed.
However, talking to Republica, Sah said that he had informed EC on February 23 in the capacity of general secretary of Yadav´s appointment as the acting chairman of the party.
Yadav has stated that the dissident leaders did not also inform him about the central committee meeting. The dissident leaders had announced dismissal of Yadav as the acting chairman of the party and urged Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai to relieve him from the office of information minister.
