War-time socket bombs defused

NAWALPARASI, March 16:A bomb disposal squad of the Nepal Army has defused three socket bombs found in the forest nearby Dhurkot VDC-6 of Nawalparasi district. The bombs were presumably hidden in the forest area during the decade-old armed conflict between the state and then rebel force, CPN-Maoist.

The team deputed from Bajradal Battalion under the leadership of Captain Sabin Rayamajhi disposed the bombs found nearby human settlement on Tuesday.


Locals had informed local police and media after they noticed one single-set and two double-set socket bombs. The NA team had immediately reached the site and disposed the bombs. RSS
