HoR election is NC’ top priority, Deuba assures Minister Kharel

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba says the party has begun preparations for the March 5 House of Representatives election, calling free and fair polls the party’s top political priority.

KATHMANDU, Dec 26 : Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has said his party has already begun preparations to take part in the March 5 House of Representatives (HoR) election. He stressed that the polls remain the party’s foremost priority.



During a meeting with Minister for Communications and Information Technology Jagadish Kharel at his residence on Thursday, Deuba said the party had formally decided to participate in the election and placed the electoral process at the top of its political agenda.

According to Minister Kharel, who is also a member of the Political Dialogue Committee, Deuba further underscored the need for the government to create a conducive environment to ensure the election is conducted in a free and fair manner.
