KATHMANDU, Dec 27: Nepal Badminton Association has started the second round of selection event for the 12th South Asian Games. Altogether 18 players--10 men and 8 women--will vie for the top seven positions allotted for men and women each in the SAG.
Among the male players, five were picked from the national team and five players got selected for the final round of selection from the preliminary round held in the capital recently.

Similarly, among the eight women shuttlers, five are from national team and three joined them after finishing as top three in the preliminary selection. Sudip Sedhai, Sanjib Khadka, Nabin Shrestha, Deepak Bohara and Irfan Ansari are the five shuttlers who finished in the top five in the preliminary selection and joined national team comprised of Ratnajit Tamang, Bikash Shrestha, Dipesh Dhami, Sajan Krishna Tamrakar and Bishnu Katuwal.
Similarly, Megha Chand, Sunaina Mukhiya and Anu Rai are women players who finished in the top three in the preliminary selection and joined national players Sara Devi Tamang, Nangsal Tamang, Siksha Shrestha, Amita Giri and Jesica Gurung.
