The campaign began on Thursday and is held for the second day targeting those children who were left out for various reasons in the first day.[break]
Women health volunteers administer the Vitamin ´A´ capsules and de-worming tablets at the designated centres in all VDCs and municipalities across the country.
The Ministry of Health and Population mobilized some 53,000 women volunteers to carry out the task in the stipulated centres.
The Ministry has been administering the Vitamin ´A´ capsules since 2050 with a view to controlling child mortality rate.
The government carries out the task twice every year on Baisakh 6 and 7 and Kartik 2 and 3.
