A team of leaders from the opposition parties have already drafted an outline of joint protest programs. The draft will be endorsed at the joint meeting attended by chiefs of the 19 parties at CPN-UML´s head office at Balkhu on Saturday and will be subsequently made public.[break]
A joint meeting of top leaders from the two major opposition parties - Nepali Congress (NC) and CPN-UML on Tuesday had entrusted a six-member taskforce with the responsibility to draft the protest programs aimed at unseating the present government.
NC General Secretary Krishna Prasad Sitaula headed the taskforce and its members include Minendra Rijal of NC, Bhim Rawal and Raghuji Pant of CPN-UML, CPN-ML General Secretary CP Mainali and Deepak Bohara of Rastriya Prajatantra Party.
"We will give a final touches to the draft of the protest programs tomorrow and will be presented at the top leaders´ meeting for endorsement before making it public later on the day," UML Politburo member Pant told Republica.
Main opposition parties Nepali Congress (NC), CPN-UML, Mohan Baidya-led CPN-Maoist, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rastriya Janashakti Party, Rastriya Janamorcha, CPN-Samyukta and CPN-ML, among others, have vowed to unseat the present government through street protests.
No opposition party in parliament!
