Organizing a press conference at the Nepali Congress central office, Sanepa, on Wednesday, the Joint Democratic Movement Mobilization Committee shared that the movement would be continue until the formation of consensus government and elections to the Constituent Assembly was guaranteed.
The committee said it has concluded that there have been encouraging participation of general public in the recent protest rallies taken out in various parts of the country and it would be steered ahead with extra zeal and enthusiasm.
´We earnestly request the general public and media fraternity including all workers, farmers, youths, students, professional community, intelligentsia, artists and business establishment to attend the massive mass rally scheduled for February 8 at the open theatre in the capital´, reads a press release issued by the opposition parties today.
On the occasion, Nepali Congress central member Nabindra Raj Joshi claimed that the ongoing movement of the opposition parties was gaining ground with increasing support and participation of the general public.
The committee comprises representatives from Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, Rastriya Prajatantra Party, CPN-ML, CPN (United), Rastriya Janamorcha, Nepal Sadbhavana Party (Anandadevi) and Chure Bhawar National Unity Party Nepal.
