The deceased has been identified as Nabin Gurung, 25, from Pokhara of Kaski district. Gurung had arrived some 12 months ago and had been working for the Dongjin Chimjang factory. His body has been kept at a local hospital.
According to the Nepali embassy in Seoul, it has begun the formal process for sending the information about the death to the foreign ministry and the labor ministry and through them to Gurung’s relatives back home.
Gurung, who was set to fly home via a Thai Air on Monday, had returned from the airport after he was given only a one-way ticket to Nepal.
