NCP expels seven leaders, including rebel candidates

In a letter signed by NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, the party said the individuals have been expelled in accordance with Article 106 of the party statute.

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: The Nepali Communist Party (NCP) has taken disciplinary action against seven individuals, who became candidates or acted as proposers, supporters or campaigners, in defiance of the party’s decisions and directives for the general election scheduled for March 5.

In a letter signed by NCP Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, the party said the individuals have been expelled in accordance with Article 106 of the party statute.


Those expelled are Haribol Gajurel and Maheshwar Dahal of Sindhuli; Kul Prasad KC of Dang; Major Rai of Udayapur; and Dharmanath Sah, Rajkumari Sah and Jiwachh Sah of Siraha.
