NC Veep Poudel and Indian Envoy Rae meet

KATHMANDU, June 1: Indian Ambassador to Nepal Ranjit Rae called on Nepali Congress Vice-President Ram Chandra Poudel this morning and discussed matters relating to the constitution writing, latest political scenario and post-earthquake reconstruction in the country.

On the occasion, Indian Ambassador Rae said that India was ready to provide support in resettlement as well reconstruction of Nepal, in the build up to its support in rescue and relief operations carried out in the aftermath of the disaster that struck Nepal on April 25.


"India is ready to provide technical, financial and material support to Nepal," leader Poudel quoted the Indian Ambassador as saying.

Leader Poudel, on the occasion, shared that initiatives have been revived to forge consensus among political parties to promulgate the new constitution, while also thanking India for its support in the post-quake rescue and relief operations. RSS
