Recent studies show that there has been a level of change in the psychology of people with the introduction of social media because of unlimited choices they get and interaction of people at a whole new level, meaning we now can interact with numerous people, multiple ways, without the restriction of time, which was not possible in time of Television, radio, newspapers or magazines. This type of facility have now resulted to technological culture shift, which I believe makes a major impact in how people behave in the society.
Back when social media was not introduced, what people used to believe was, only the story told from the side of single party and there was not much place for interaction and analysis. These days the social media platform have made it easier for people to talk about the product or service or events and discuss about its good and bad aspects and change the image of the product, services or event in no time. This helps to change the opinion and perspective of an individual. This is how people have utilized this fast medium of technological privilege to pass the information and set new trends around the globe.

Twitter and Facebook have mostly played the vital role for generation of trends that lasts for certain period of time and even make some impacts which help to solve some problem and even create an environment of chaos at times. In my personal opinion, the things people do or post on social media should have some value, credibility and some responsibility instead of just using it as distribution channel to supply information. As we all are aware that with a great power comes a great responsibility, If the social media is not used wisely then there might occur some negative impact on society. If we are heavily dependent on social media then it will start to control our life instead of us controlling it. So, before it’s too late let’s start becoming aware about whatever we post, do and share in social media.
