The HLPC will hold talks separately with the Upendra Yadav-led Madhesi People´s Rights Forum-Nepal (MPRF-N), Ashok Rai-led Federal Socialist Party (FSP) and Mohan Baidya-led 33-party alliance. [break]
According to Narayan Kaji Shrestha, leader of the UCPN (Maoist), the HLPC will hold talks with MPRF-N and FSP at 11 am. Similarly it will hold talks with the Baidya-led alliance at 1 pm. All the meetings will be held at the HLPC secretariat, in New Baneswor. [break]
Top leaders of the major parties are holding the discussions to persuade the poll-opposing parties to come to the election process.
Meanwhile, the CPN-Maoist which has declared to boycott and disrupt the election process, is also preparing for talks with the HLPC to be held on Tuesday.
A meeting of the Baidya-led 33-party alliance is underway at headquarters of the CPN-Maoist in Buddhanagar, to determine their bottom line for Tuesday’s talks with the HLPC, according to spokesperson for the CPN-Maoist, Pampha Bhusal.
