Gold and silver prices continue to rise, hit record high

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations, the price of fine gold climbed to Rs 318,800 per tola, while silver rose to Rs 7,300 per tola.

KATHMANDU, Jan 28: Prices of gold and silver continued to soar in the domestic market on Tuesday, setting new records.



According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Associations (FENEGOSIDA), the price of fine gold climbed to Rs 318,800 per tola, while silver rose to Rs 7,300 per tola.

On Tuesday, fine gold was traded at Rs 309,300 per tola, while silver stood at Rs 6,870 per tola, indicating a sharp day-on-day increase in precious metal prices.


International media reports said that gold was being traded at USD 5,200 per ounce in the global market on Tuesday, while silver was priced at USD 111 per ounce.
