At a program organized by the Central Sports Department to inaugurate the disaster management volunteers Saturday, PM Koirala said not only government but also the international community was with the survivors of the destructive quakes. "At this hour of disaster, all should join the campaign of relief and reconstruction," he underscored.
Also the President of the Nepali Congress, PM Koirala said the commitment of the youths to reconstructing Nepal was quite laudable and the government undoubtedly supports this commitment.
On the occasion, senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba said we Nepalis could learn a lot from this disaster- how to mobilize quick rescue, how to expedite search and distribute relief materials within 24 hours.
Vice-President of the party, Ram Chandra Poudel, said, "Earthquake has thrown challenges to us. It is time to be active for help."
Department Chief Dhanaraj Gurung said it is the time that every youth devoted to the reconstruction of the country. It is not good to depend on other.
