Dying Candle wins American cinematography award

KATHMANDU, March 23: A Nepali film 'Dying Candle' has won an outstanding cinematography award in the Queens World Film Festivals of America. Directed by Naresh Kumar KC, the film has artistically portrayed a moving story about a sister and brother.


The six-day film festival held in New York had ended on Saturday.

In the festival, Arpan Thapa, central character of the film, producer duo Rabin Acharya and Uttam KC had attended the festival representing the film 'Dying Candle.'

Director KC had written the script of the film while in America. "The film Dying Candle, which is based on the story of a sister and brother, has taken the Nepali films industry to a new height at the international level," said KC.
