At least 12 injured in Sarlahi blast

SARLAHI, Sept 13: At least 12 people including a section officer have been injured when a bomb went off here in district headquarters, Malangwa-based District Survey Office at around 11:45 on Friday morning.



Among the injured, three are in critical condition and undergoing treatment at the District Hoispital, Malangwa. [break]



They have been identified as Nagaendra Yadav, a section officer at Survey office, service seeker Gauri Shankar Mahato of Ramwan and Rajkishore Ram of Hempur. Mahato has been ferried to Kathmandu for further treatment.

The bomb exploded at the counter of the office, near the main gate. The blast has caused major damages at the counter of the office. The papers of the survey office were also burnt due to the blast.



According to DSP, Santosh Bhattarai, police have begun the investigation over the incident. He added that nobody has owned up the incident till yet.

The police have cordon off the area following the incident.
