KATHMANDU, Oct 8: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) rose marginally by 2.31 points, settling at 2,574.65 points.
The transaction volume also saw an improvement; while trades worth Rs 3.74 billion were recorded the previous day, the figure rose to Rs 3.93 billion. Share prices increased for 140 companies and decreased for 127, while the prices of 11 companies remained stable.

Sector-wise, the market's rise was supported by the banking sector—the largest group—which gained 0.19 percent. On the other hand, trading declined 0.48 percent, others 0.44 percent and hotels and tourism declined 0.39 percent.
Among individual companies, Kutheli Bukhari Small Hydropower surged 15 percent and Snow Rivers Limited inclined 6.40 percent. Prices of RBB Mutual Fund 2 fell 8.07 percent and Ghalemdi Hydropower fell 3.36 percent.
Ghalemdi Hydropower, Himal Dolakha Hydropower, Peoples Hydropower, Sonapur Minerals and Oil, and Himalayan Power Partner were among the companies with the highest trading volume.
