BIRGUNJ, March 30: The East-West Highway section at Chandranigahapur reopened at 2 p.m. after a 5-hour blockade Monday. Locals of Gaindatar had been obstructing the highway since 9 a.m. calling an “indefinite” highway blockade until the village was supplied with electricity. The highway reopened after Nepal Electricity Authority and the locals reached an agreement Monday. As per the agreement Gaindatar will get supply of electricity to the village by mid-June.
