SINDHULI, July 20: The Mid-Hill Highway in Golanjor Rural Municipality-3, Baseri, Sindhuli, which was blocked due to a landslide, is now open to traffic.
Early this morning at 2 am, a drainage canal beside the road collapsed, causing rocks, soil, and debris to fall onto the highway, temporarily disrupting traffic.
Blocked Dasrathchanda Highway back into operation
Krishna Prasad Pokharel, Ward Chairperson of Golanjor Rural Municipality-3, informed that to clear and reopen the road, the Road Division Office, security personnel, and local residents worked together.
According to Lal Dhwaj Subedi, Superintendent of Police at the Sindhuli District Police Office, vehicles and passengers that had been halted are now moving toward their destinations following the reopening of the road section.
However, due to continuous rainfall and the ongoing risk of landslides, he has urged everyone to exercise caution while traveling.
