KATHMANDU, July 4: The landslide-blocked Dasrathchanda Highway has come into full operation. The highway was blocked at 3 PM on Sunday after a landslide struck at Aarubata near Khopde, Baitadi.
Baitadi District Police Office Spokesperson Inspector Lok Raj Joshi said that the blocked highway has been brought back into operation since 4 AM today. Although it came into operation one-way, it was fully opened only this morning.
Country lacks proper equipment to clear snow
The road came into operation when the dozer was removed in coordination with the Road Division Office. The passengers who were stranded after the highway was blocked went to their respective destinations as soon as the road was opened. Even though the road is operational, there is still the possibility of landslides in the area after rain, said Inspector Joshi.
