KAVREPALANCHOK, Sept 29: The BP Highway obstructed for the past four days due to flood and landslide following incessant rainfall has come into operation from today.
According to the Division Road Office, Bhaktapur, the vehicular movement along the highway which was obstructed at different places, has been resumed from this morning after constructing temporary diversions and removing landslide debris.
Blocked Dasrathchanda Highway back into operation
Division Chief Suman Yogesh said that a diversion would be constructed at Chaukidanda once the water flow of the rivulet is decreased.
The flood on Roshi rivulet has swept away temporary diversions constructed at Chaukidanda, Katunje, Piple and Mamti area as well as the highway was blocked due to landslides occurred at Daunne-Kalopul and Charsayabesi.
One-way traffic has now resumed at risk areas and activities are underway to bring the two-way traffic into operation, added the Office.
