KATHMANDU, July 21: People living along the banks of Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchowk district have been asked to stay alert as the potential outburst of Kerung Tso lake in Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) of China could cause a huge flash flood in the river.

SINDHUPALCHOWK, July 9: Two people died and at least 20 others have gone missing in flash floods triggered by incessant rainfall in three different settlements along the Bhotekoshi Corridor in Sindhupalchowk district at around 1 am on Thursday. The swollen river and other local streams as a result of the incessant rainfall throughout the night have swept away as many as 33 houses.

JAMBU, July 7: A sudden flood in Bhotekoshi River on Tuesday night swept away at least 21 houses of Tatopani area in Sindhupalchowk district along Nepal-China border, leaving hundreds of people in the lurch. However, no human casualties were recorded as of Wednesday evening.
KATHMANDU, July 6: Nepali Congress (NC) has demanded that people displaced by or at high risk of flood in settlements along the banks of the Bhotekoshi River in Sindhupalchok district should be relocated to safer areas.
