KATHMANDU, Dec 12: The Last Resort on the banks of the Bhotekoshi, Sindhupalchowk, has resumed bungee jump, after halting the adventure event for nine months.

According to the Last Resort Adventure, owing to the growing threat of the coronavirus, it had stopped bungee jumps since March 26. Kumar Raut, manager of the company, said they have resumed the services by adopting the required health safety standards.

Raut said currently there are four to 15 bungee jumpers enjoying the adventure daily.

The 160-meter bungee jump, one of the first of its type, has been in operation since 2001. Before the first lockdown was imposed on March 24, the site used to welcome around 100 visitors daily, according to the company.

A one-time bungee costs Rs 6,000 for a Nepali and Rs 9,200 for a foreign citizen.
