KATHMANDU, May 23: It has been found that some river guides have been providing rafting services in the Bhotekoshi River of Sindhupalchowk district without any license, according to a monitoring conducted by the Valley Tourism Office on May 7.
The office has written a letter to the Nepal Association of Rafting Agencies (Nara) saying that it would be unsafe to receive rafting services from unlicensed guides. Issuing a notice, the office has warned that even the slightest security negligence could endanger the lives of the passengers.
Nara has also warned its subordinate member companies not to operate services from unlicensed river guides.
