KATHMANDU, June 21: Uttam Moktan, who set a new world record in 'Yoga Marathon' received Guinness World Records certificates amid a programme in the Capital on Monday.
Founder of the Manokranti movement Dr Yogi Bikashananda, Yoga expert Dr Hari Prasad Pokharel, Chief of Valmiki Vidyapith Lalmani Pandey, Chief of Yoga Department of Valmiki Vidyapith Yati Prasad Bhattarai jointly handed out the certificates to Moktan.
Moktan has been regonised by Guinness World Records for practising yoga continuously for 50 hours and 15 minutes on December 17-19, 2015.

Meanwhile speaking at the event organised by the Bishwo Darshan Aviyan Kendra, Dr Pokharel said that the government should pay heeds to the development of yoga.
Likewise, Dr Bikashananda said that yoga would help people think in a new and creative way.
The Aviyan Chairman Nawaraj Bhattarai and General Secretary Narayan Prasad Bhattarai said that the world record set by Moktan in yoga in yoga has increased dignity of the country.
Also, senior executive editor of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti Tirtha Bhattarai said that Moktan projected himself as an exemplary figure by setting a new world record in yoga that has increased glory of the country in the international level. RSS
