KATHMANDU, June 2: The weather throughout the country today is expected to remain partly to generally cloudy. This is due to the partial influence of local winds, westerly winds and a low-pressure area extending from Uttar Pradesh to West Bengal in India, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division of the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology.
Likewise, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the country.

Gusty winds are possible at one or two places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and there are chances of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.
The weather will remain partly to generally cloudy in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces along with the hilly regions and partly cloudy to mainly fair in the rest of the country tonight.
Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to take place at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh and Bagmati provinces.
