KATHMANDU, July 21: The central secretariat meeting of the CPN (Unified Socialist) started this morning. The meeting was anticipated to decide about changing the responsibilities of the leaders and the nomination of some leaders to the party's vacant positions.
In Unified Socialist, the post of vice chairman and in-charge of Bagmati and Lumbini provinces is vacant. It is said that the meeting which has been going on for a week at Pushpalal Memorial Foundation will be concluded today. Politburo member Dilu Pant said that after all the leaders gave their views, the party’s Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal presented a report on the role to be played by the party as well as the upcoming action plan.
CPN (Unified Socialist) decides to support govt to pass budget
Chairman Nepal's report mentioned the review and ideological policy of the organization strengthening campaign. The report, which included contemporary political issues as well as the strategy to be adopted by the party in the socialist system, emphasized the need for a socialist front of the left-wing party, the need for the unity of like-minded left forces.
Politburo member Pant said that in the meeting, issues such as the performance of the people's organization, future action plan, the issue of making the government effective, and the party's convention were discussed.
