Two parliamentary committees meeting today

KATHMANDU, Sept 30: Two parliamentary committees are scheduled to meet today.

A meeting of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee (PHC) has been scheduled for 1 PM today. The meeting has an agenda of reviewing and discussing complaints and information received regarding Nepal's Chief Justice and proposed ambassadors.

In the meeting, the PHC will receive the work plan from the proposed Chief Justice and ambassadors. The PHC meeting is also set to prepare an agenda as per Clause 15 of the Parliamentary Hearing Committee Procedure, 2080, to advance the hearing process for the Chief Justice and proposed ambassadors. The hearing for the proposed Supreme Court justices will also commence, as reported by the parliament secretariat.

Likewise, a Legislation Management Committee meeting is also being held today at 3 PM with the agenda of holding clause-by-clause discussion on the Media Council Bill, 2081.
