KATHMANDU, Aug 20: Five parliamentary committee meetings are taking place on Tuesday while three House of Representatives (HoR) committees and two National Assembly committees are scheduled to meet on Wednesday, according to the Federal Parliament Secretariat.

A meeting of the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee of the HoR is being held at 11 AM, with the agenda to discuss the bill related to making arrangements regarding legislation.

At the meeting of the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee, scheduled for 11 AM, there is an agenda to discuss the bill to amend the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059.

The meeting of the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies, and Obligations of the State Committee, scheduled for 1:30 PM, has an agenda to discuss the procedures of the committee, as well as the guiding principles and policies of the state.

A meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance Committee of the National Assembly is scheduled to be held at 11:30 AM, with the agenda to discuss 'good governance' with stakeholders. This is considered an essential condition for strengthening the democratic governance system and for the issuance of the 'national morality policy' to promote it.

In the meeting of the Legislation Management Committee of the National Assembly, which will be held at 11:30 AM, there is an agenda to discuss the post-legislative examination.
