KATHMANDU, Aug 21: Five parliamentary committees are set to hold meetings today, with three committees from the House of Representatives and two from the National Assembly holding their respective sessions.
The Federal Parliament Secretariat has announced that the Law, Justice, and Human Rights Committee of the House of Representatives will convene at 11AM. The agenda for this meeting includes a discussion on the bill concerning legislative arrangements.

The State Affairs and Good Governance Committee will also meet at 11AM. to discuss a bill proposing amendments to the Prevention of Corruption Act, 2059 BS.
At 1:30PM, the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Implementation of the Directive Principles, Policies, and Obligations of the State Committee will hold its meeting. The committee is expected to discuss its procedures, along with the guiding principles and policies of the state.
In the National Assembly, the Committee on Development, Economic Affairs, and Good Governance will meet at 11:30AM. The agenda includes discussions with stakeholders on the importance of good governance for strengthening democratic governance, as well as the issuance of a 'national morality policy' to promote this cause.
Similarly, the Committee for Legislation Management will meet at 11:30AM. to discuss the post-legislative examination.
